A challenge by the Postal Service lead Houdini into escaping from a sealed and locked canvas mailbag. The trick truly was a miracle. Now YOU can perform the same effect!

A full size Stage illusion that you can carry in your suitcase. You are locked in the mailbag by your assistant or someone from the audience, using a solid metal rod and padlocks. A sheet or curtain is held up in front of the locked bag and you escape in a FLASH!

The Bag, the rod, and the padlocks can be examined before and after the performance.

This escape makes for a perfect publicity stunt or feature in an evening-long show. Without specialized knowledge of escape magic or locks, you, too can free yourself from this heavy canvas bag with a minimum of practice.

The basic effect is that you display two tubes . Lift the tubes to show a glass under one and a bottle under the other.  Lower the tubes over the objects and when you lift them, THE BOTTLE AND GLASS HAVE CHANGED PLACES! The tubes are replaced and in a blink, the bottle and glass are back in their original positions.  During the process the tubes are shown to be empty.  And yet the bottle and glass will change position upon your command. 

Having done this once or twice something goes wrong and you show  TWO bottles and NO glass.  Trying to hide the error, you try to cover the bottle but THIRD bottle appears.
