Many magicians know the wonderful act of Mr. Electric Marvyn Roy. He was the first person to perform an entire magic act using electric light bulbs! He continued with a neat Floating Bulb routine.

Let me describe his most famous effect:

This is a miniature version of his Lit Bulbs from Mouth effect, now brought up to date with extra bright LED's (Light Emitting Diodes) which creates a very visual magic effect.

You display an attractive black panel board that contains ten LED light bulbs. Switch the power to on and they all illuminate a brilliant blue glow. Remove one of the LEDs and hold it in your fingertips. The bulb magically lights!

You drop the bulb into a tea cup sitting on your table.

You now remove the balance, and they all magically light in your hand! They are all dropped into a tea cup, one by one.

Take a coil of black wire and show it around. Drop the coil into the cug. Bring the mug to your lips and drink down the contents! The mug is unmistakenly empty.

Acting like your are swishing these around in your mouth, you pull the length of wire from your mouth & ALL the bulbs are threaded on it & they are all LIT!

EFFECT: You ask a volunteer to come forward to assist. Have the volunteer examine the bulb.

You display a small clear bag and place the ordinary light bulb in it. You close it with a clip.

Ask the volunteer to touch the tip of his extended left forefinger to his forehead.

When the volunteer touches the tip of the right forefinger to any exposed area of your skin, the bulb bursts with a dramatic explosion of shattered glass!
